The route map of the Tour de France 2012 has been officially unveiled on Tuesday. On 30 June starts the tour in Belgium and Liege Liège with an individual time trial over 6.1 km. For the second time the city Ausgangspunt the “Great Loop” is the fourth time in Belgium.The first stage over 198km Leads the field, then a day later from Liège to Seraing.In the Pyrenees it is feared at the 16th a total of 20 stages over 3479.1 km, including a prologue and two individual time trial, two summit finishes, four medium-sized, five-and nine flat stages mountains.
Tour de France 2012: riders before time
This year's circuit, unlike other years seems rather time-trial specialists such as Alberto Contador or Tony Martin to come forward. Two long stages against the clock over almost 100 km could be both for the three-time Tour winner and for the time trial world champion from Cottbus advantage. A new addition to an increase of 18% slope, not on the plan are L'Alpe d'Huez and Mont Ventoux, and a team time trial.
AUx Champs-Elysées
Ends of the Tour de France 2012 in Paris, traditionally, when the peloton on 22 July the riders in yellow headed to the Champs-Elysees. Whether the winner of the 99th Course at the end, however, could actually be called Contador, remains to be seen, because at the time the Spaniard is under suspicion of doping. The tour will come anyway – not with all excluded drivers.
